Ernest R. Handy, age 61, of Ephratah, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, after a brief illness.

River Songs, a live music show featuring original songs celebrating the Hudson River, takes place on October 25 at 2 PM at Urban H2O.

Vincenza Barletta, 83, of East Main Street, Fonda, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at her home with her loving family at her side.

There will be a ziti and meatball benefit dinner for Montgomery County Corrections at the Tribes Hill Fire Department Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The dinner will cost $7 for adults.
