Two people have lost their lives in a pair of traffic crashes within the last 24 hours, one in Walton County and the other in Jackson County.

The 9-month-old hog, with white-spotted black skin, was walked around a ring at the Suwannee Livestock Fair for bidders to decide which part of him they'd like best.

The bidding closed Friday on the Chandler Beach pig at $106.32 per pound raising a total of $27,111 for Corbin Wiggins, 18, of Trenton.

One Florida 10-year-old had big plans for his 255-pound pig. Chandler Beach, with help from the Suwannee River Fair, has raised more than $20,000 from the sale of his pig, all to help an 18-year-old boy who is battling cancer for the second time.

Elijah squealed with joy as he cut though the crisp, cold air, while Trenton hockey player Michael Lesko pushed him at high speeds along the ice.
