A power outage in central Visalia forced Tulare County to send home employees from government buildings at the Mooney Boulevard and west Main Street government complex.

Two San Joaquin Valley pesticide dealers were penalized $105,000 by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation for knowingly selling a pesticide product for a use not allowed by the label.

Valley growers are already assessing the damage from Friday's storm, just days after being hit by rain, wind, and hail.
