Seneca man arrested for allegedly molesting young girl
July 6, 2009 - 11:51 p.m. EST SENECA - Oconee County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 38-year-old Seneca man Thursday for allegedly inappropriately touching his a young female.
A 70-year-old tractor-trailer driver burned to death as firefighters struggled in vain to rescue him after his truck ran off Interstate 85 and caught fire Saturday, emergency officials said.
22,000 chickens killed in fire in Seneca
An estimated 22,000 chickens perished in a fire that destroyed a chickenhouse near Seneca, a loss the owner placed at about $200,000. Townville Fire Chief Billy McAdams said the blaze struck the Floyd McPhail chicken farm, at 2051 Pine Grove Road, at about 10:30 p.m. Friday.
