Gotta love the tall can of bud light, what a great addition to the growing memorial. Shows some real class. I bet it is stolen in a matter of seconds.

<quoted text>Old timer it's not called South Central. Get a gripe it's now called South Los Angeles, South Central is now a ghetto term.
You can change the name all you want to, however, until the economics of the area changes, South Central will always be known as a ghetto. If you don't like living in a ghetto like area, then do one of two things, move or get busy working with your City Council Member who represents your area. Nothing generates nothing.

SOUTH BAY,
You seem to have some wits about you. Far more than some of the posts I've read over the last few days. However, as it may not be a very good feeling to be stopped by the police, for what you feel is essentially BS, try putting yourself in their shoes and truly understand their job description (s). Without walking a mile or two in their shoes, your anger/disappointment is misdirected. You see, the actions of police officers are due to experience. Yes i will certainly agree that some bad apples exist, and attitudes not appropriate to the job exist too. But, an officer observes things that you would never think about. Does he know you're a block from your home? No. Has he arrested burglars walking the neighborhood looking for easy entries into homes, like yours, while you're working? Yes.
Has he heard every excuse in the book? Yes. Is it his duty to investigate to the best of his abilty, and safely? Yes. Think about how many criminals have been contacted and arrested by officers doing their job; observation and investigation. You have no idea (unless you're a cop or former cop - but i doubt it or you'd have more tolerance) what crimes have been prevented and solved by the police work you've described. Understand, it's not personal.

You have certain issues with grammar and syntax yourself.
BTW...there were no misspelling in my comment. There is one word that was created by other San Pedrans many years ago.

And i was not talking about harassing "Hoodlums" and "Losers", i was talking about harassing everyone in city. for example stopping someone because they were walking to school, pulling someone over less then a block away from there house because they looked like they were lost? illegal searching ones vehicle without any probable cause? Open up your eyes man, biggest gang in Los Angeles is the Police Department-

Yeah damn that officer for trying to help you do YOUR job and raise your kid. Guess you would rather the call went " Hi, your kid was killed while riding his skateboard, hit a simple rock, wiped out, and hit his head on the pavement, sorry a helmet would have saved him". What a shame.

A couple of years ago, a 13-year-old boy used to ride his skateboard around the block holding on to his dad's car door with the window down. They would talk and the father said they never went faster than 10MPH. Well, the skateboard hit a small rock (pebble?) in the street which throw the boy forward and hit his head twice on the asphalt. He died. The incident was in Mission Viejo.

Bikes or skateboards, my son never rides without a helmet. Ever. He's knows the rules because I am clear about them (the few that I have and that is one of them). If the cops called me to tell me that, I could care less about their priorities elsewhere. I would thank them for taking care of mine.

Common sense is only gained through scrapes, bumps, bruises, and a little blood. Not everyone clears the hurdle, and the consequences aren't pretty. That's the premise of natural selection.
People who are incapable of preparing their kids for life probably shouldn't be passing on their genetic material.
Sounds to me like a self-regulating process.

That would have been fine if they were nice about it and they were trying to save a life they gave him a ticket talked very mean to me said next time they would take him in and have me pick him up from the station. I am just saying some times cops have nothing better to do then harrass kids it is a problem weather you want to believe it or not

Yeah it's true lawndale is becoming too denily populated with tons of gangs and gang members. Oww that city geting too dangerous, funny thing how federal agents were in the area and responded to help with the situation. Man o man these illegal immigrant gangs like ms13 are spreading and will eventually take up most of lawndale. Time for **** to start deportation of illegal immigrant gang members, it's the federal governments miskate for not deploying the army to protect the Mexico border, and now we have to bear the costs of Mexican thugs. Good shoot lasd, and I hope the deputy recovers soon since it was just a minor shot to the upper shoulder. I should put in the word to promote the duputy to sgt in the future, good job deputy and hope u feel better.
Most immigrants are to busy WORKING to get caught into webs of violence. If a close analysis is to be done on gangmembers the results will show that these individuals are not immigrants, but simply AMERICAN born and bred.
Nice try in attempting to scapegoat immigrants.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Sagittarius

If you have any worries or problems today, a close colleague could have the answers you seek. Work will be satisfying, and anything to do with children should be very rewarding today. There could be friction with a relative, but it's nothing serious and things will sort themselves out in due course. Again, you must pay attention to your health, Saggitarius: skin infections are a strong possibility at the moment.
