Assault Occurs In Knott County
On July 21, 2013 at approximately 20 minutes after midnight Kentucky State Police in Hazard received a call stating that 23 year old Steven Rogers had been assaulted at Topmost in Knott County and was being treated at the St. Joseph Martin Hospital at Martin Ky.

TV reports Eugene Slone is was charged in the deaths of 26-year-old David E. Sparkman and 18-year-old Keisha M. Sexton, whose remains were found in July in a burned vehicle at an abandoned mine site in Topmost community of Knott County.
