Are these created jobs like others I read about? Pay raises to someone who already has a job?

I read the article. In Frankfort, the 50 jobs will go for education, mostly in special education, from what I gleaned from the article. Most of those educational jobs, at least for Frankfort Independent, are temporary.

Any time construction is involved, I think it is temporary. This state needs some manufacturing jobs that will be around for the long haul. I read an article last week that said Harley-Davidson was thinking about relocating and the only location they were thinking of was Kentucky, in Shelbyville, I think. I haven't read any thing else about it, though.

This is such a lie. Take it from someone that works in state government. They created between 50-100 temp jobs that will last 6-12 months. They didn’t fix anything they just patched the problems so people don’t realize unemployment is as high as it really is

there fake jobs and in 6 months the people working them will go back to where they were before, RETIRED. All this accomplished was letting local big wigs give all their friends high paying jobs for a little while. When it’s over this people will go back home and continue living off their retirement just fine

The stimulus helped nothing. It's almost as dumb of a bill as the Health Care one out now

and yes I would tell those 100 people they are not needed and giving them a job isn’t worth risking the economic stability of the rest of the country

what about if those billions of dollars were used to capitalize small and start-up businesses? all of those huge banks and corporations that were too big to fail don't seem like they are doing all that great. small business is the backbone of this country.

Did you not listen to the whole part about 95% of them being retired state workers? I understand you liberals don’t pay attention to anything that doesn’t support your opinion but you can at least listen and try to keep up

I heard McDonalds is hiring. If I lost my job I would go work there before taking a government hand out but hey I believe in working for what you have so I sure you won’t understand this

"Huge banks and corps don't seem likethey are doing all THAT great"?

How about the the combined profits of 13.6 billion in half a year posted by Bank of America, Citigroup, J.P. Morgan Chase, & Goldman Sachs?

Like a typical conservative retard, has no idea how to fix anything, but does like to sh** on any idea given by any side other than the right. how very typical

If the gov't would follow the line and start at the root of the problem, most people would have jobs.
Think about why retired workers go back to work? They have paid into a managed retirement system that is now not providing for them. So they have to go back to work just to supplement. Retired workers have more experience and are therefore hired before the struggling middle class worker.
So now is the gov't not only paying a meager retirement, but also an unemployment, or welfare benefit to those who can't get a job. Why not provide for the workers who have done their time, and want to move on and make way for those who need to do the same?
