Thanks for the great article, but I miss a mention of the fact that "rock oil" had been used by local Native Americans for a long time.
They took it from the little puddles in which the oil emerged to the surface naturally. I am writing from Vienna, Austria. I have been to Titusville, visited the oil museum and enjoyed it very much. I like PA, and the STEELERS... |
