WETUMPKA -- Jared Mur phy has been in jail since July 30, 2003, awaiting his trial on capital murder charges in a high-profile Elmore County case.

A Titus man has been killed in a traffic accident in Elmore County, according to a news release from the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
