I just spoke to someone today who heard of a novel idea at another shelter (name of shelter unknown). The shelter was in SC, apparently, & could take no more animals. Dawn (or Ashley)-can't remember which friend told me this today) said somehow an arrangement was made (she doesn't know how) for the animals to be "shuttled out" to live at various shelters out of state (I think she said one was in Michigan) which still had rm. to take a few more animals, thus eliminating the need to euthanize. If you can't get your funding, is this even a slight possibility? I don't know whom you would contact, but I hate to see animals die for lack of funding. Is this a feasible idea to try to pursue? Maybe it worked in the past, but w/today's economy, not sure it's still being done - but if it's still an option, wondered if you'd want to pursue it. Sad to hear about your plight.
