Report suggests pipeline could reduce flaring, CO2 emissions
By Cecile Krimm Flaring natural gas in North Dakota's oil patch releases as much CO2 into the atmosphere as 350,000 cars, according to a report cited in an environmental assessment of a proposed pipeline.
Hoeven: Gas pipeline making progress
Calgary-based Alliance Pipeline announced the $141 million project last summer. Alliance says the 79-mile pipeline will run from a gas plant in Tioga to Sherwood, where it will meet with the company's existing natural gas line that moves the gas to Chicago.
