Feather Fiesta Days float into Oroville

Everyone at the Chili Cook-Off knows that the Oroville Firefighters' Chili was the best! As usual, the judges were afraid to give the 1st place award to the true winners to avoid controversy. Local 2404 was clearly the best!

I agree! That station 63 chili was low grade dog-food! Oroville's Chili was the talk of cook-off.

This was my 2 year-old daughter's first big parade and she absolutely loved it! Thank you to the groups that were handing out trinkets other than candy (although that was okay too)! For next year, might I make a suggestion? If there are going to be groups with animals in the parade, can you please make sure that they have someone to clean up after them? The horses left some "presents" close to where we were sitting and I lost track of how many people came close to stepping in it!

"There was a craft fair in Sank Park, organized by the Oroville City Docents, and a quilt show with food and vendors at Municipal Auditorium, organized by the Oroville Downtown Business Association." This statement is in error. The Oroville Piecemaker's organized the quilt show with food and vendors at the adutorium just as we have been doing it for years.

Way too many tweakers downtown during the parade. Scarry!

Most of those Chili teams ought to be ashamed of themselves. Might as well have been dinty moore. Oroville Firefighters was the real deal. I had to spit all the others out.
