Alderete, who was bitten by a pit bull near Telferner on Tuesday, was released from the hospital Wednesday evening and is recovering at home, said his mother, Polly Grudzieski, 47, of Edna.

A 21-year-old man was bitten in the neck by a pit bull at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of Gin Road near Telferner.

Arrested VICTORIA - Joseph Salazar, 25, of Victoria, by deputies Wednesday on a warrant charging him with violation of probation in a purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor case.

Aurelio Noe Balderas Jr., 27, of Victoria, by deputies Friday on a warrant charging him with felony violation of probation in a burglary of a habitation case.
