A Hackensack man who police believe fell asleep at the wheel and drove into a creek off Route 17 North in Hasbrouck Heights Saturday morning was not injured after a another man came to his aide, police said.

TEANECK A township man was arrested Friday after a girl told her mother he had engaged in sexual activities with her, authorities said.

Manuel Mejia, 50, was arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said in a statement.
