It's safe to say that the three people to be recognized today at the Golden Citizens' Luncheon at Pioneer Park have helped build Alaska.
Late night storm downs trees, sparks fires in Interior Alaska
Late Monday evening, lightning spread across the sky like a skeletal hand print and left its mark in and around the city of Fairbanks with downed trees and traffic signs and even sparking a few distant fires.
Alaska fire crews head to California
The state of Alaska and the Alaska Fire Service will send five emergency firefighting crews to California this morning to help battle fires that have spread across the state.
