MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas A grass fire struck a home in Montgomery County on Saturday, damaging the outside of the building.

Montgomery County Fire Marshall Jimmy Williams warned residents that the county is experiencing exceptional drought conditions and is under a burn ban.

The Southeast Texas area, including Montgomery County and The Woodlands Township, is currently experiencing moderate to high drought conditions and the forecast conditions indicate elevated fire danger to continue throughout the coming days.
