Inn's birch tree a possible remnant of 1923 Harding visit

Last summer we had a group of 12 people stay with us at the Inn. Fairbanks was the beginning point of a 15-day tour of Alaska which included Denali, Talkeetna, Anchorage and Girdwood, finishing in Katmai to see the bears.

Talkeetna Fire and EMS respond to gunshot and house fire on Sunshine Road

Talkeetna and Willow Fire Departments, Talkeetna EMSA and Trapper Creek EMS all responded to a house fire on Sunshine Road late Wednesday night.A Residents for miles around reported hearing sirens and some saw flames shooting high in the sky.A The response crews, including Troopers, were on the scene until well after 4:00 in the morning.
