Florida Legislature should have other priorities

The powers that be in Tally along with local governments are in full control by the lobbyists and special interest groups.
This while "We The People " who actually vote them in are made to suffer as in what the lack any true meaningful property tax reform has done to this states economy.

Our power is only at the ballot box, though many times (too many) no one steps up to the plate to run against the status quo.

Peter, I do not think anyone will argue the fact that government today, at all levels, is inept and out of control, but why do you call for something to be done about taxes and then suggest that we should be spending more on education and corrections? We don’t need more spending! We need more efficiency, more responsibility, and more accountability!! Terms NOT synonymous with anything run by government! Did you know that the Washington DC public school system spends $25,000.00 per student, supposedly the highest in the country while achieving pathetic results? Did you know that the cost of sending one student to the prestigious Sidwell Friends private school, in Washington DC, is less than $25,000? Public Education today is not about students it is about Public Unions, and their members, who feed at the taxpayer’s trough while producing sub standard results. Until parents are allowed to have school choice, and their tax money is allowed to follow, government education will continue to go into the toilet where it’s been for several decades! Government is the 1000 pound gorilla that is killing us all! Are you employed in Public Education or Corrections?????

you forgot the most idiotic legislation...requiring a $60 fine for those egomaniacs with the 4x4 trucks that have chosen to hang "testicles" from their hitches. Yes, it's vulgar, but do we have to have a law banning them? What a monumental waste of time.
