Hundreds of applications for medical-marijuana dispensaries -- along with their $5,000 application fees -- poured into the state Department of Health Services last week.

Pima Utility Co. has amended its request for a rate hike, lessening the financial impact on thousands of Sun Lakes customers, but community officials say the proposed increases are still steep.

Weather conditions, circumstances and time permitting, Maricopa County Department of Environmental Services will conduct mosquito fogging midnight to 5 a.m. Friday in Gilbert, midnight to 5 a.m. Saturday in the Sun Lakes area, and midnight to 5 a.m. Sunday in another part of Gilbert.
