High school coach dies after hitting horse wandering in road

Coroner Harvin Bullock said 41-year-old Ruth Coard of Summerton and her son were riding in their pickup truck on U.S. 378 near Highway 763 around 8:10 p.m. when they hit a horse wandering in the middle of the road.
