The jury trial for a former Sulphur Springs police chief has been rescheduled. Andrew Little's trial had been planned to begin Tuesday; however, the date was reset for October.

Sulphur Springs plans July 4 events
Sulphur Springs will have a full day of events on July 4 at the city park. Things will get started with a breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Shiloh Christian Retreat dining room.
Area man arrested on marijuana charge
A Sulphur Springs man was arrested Wednesday after receiving suspected marijuana through the mail.
