SUGAR GROVE - Sugar Grove's 2009 Little Miss, Little Mister, Junior Miss and Miss July Fourth were chosen during a pageant on July 3. Johnny Garber served as Master of Ceremonies for the contest.

SUGAR GROVE - Sixteen students were inducted into the Berne Union Honor Society during a candlelight ceremony in the school's auditorium.

On a day late in August 2005, the first day of class in her freshman year at Miami University, Stephanie Reid, 22, of Germantown was running late, and was the last student to arrive in the classroom for English 111.

SUGAR GROVE - Berne Union Elementary second graders have been studying local, state and national government in their social studies classes and, with the assistance of teacher Gina Petros, Sugar Grove Mayor Jacob Nihiser visited them on May 28 to talk about his job.

A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Farifield, Pickaway and Hocking counties as a storm packing golf ball-size hail continues to rake the region.
