In a couple of years, Arkansans may be able to add something to the ducks and rice that come to mind when Stuttgart is mentioned.

Nearly one year ago, the town of Stuttgart was severely damaged by a tornado, now the town will once again be forced to clean up after storm damage.

Storms that marched across Arkansas overnight left quite a bit of damage at Stuttgart.

Below is the letter that announced the GOP’s renewed effort to win back their power in Washington. The letter announces the formation of a group call the National Council for a New America (NCNA). I didn’t see anything wrong with the old America before all the politicians ruined it. What is strikingly missing from the letter below is:

It is truly amazing how much news the American news media chooses to ignore. If one wants to discover what is actually going on in the world, he or she often has to go to the foreign press.

Dear Editor

In todays paper Thursday 23 09 there is the most unamerican Political Cartoon I have seen. Never did this boy from Gillett who also served Our country in two wars and for 22 years ever believe he would see such un-American sentiment unfold here in the heart of the Delta. It did though, You have decided to post a political cartoon depicting three drug cartel members beating a Pinata. The Pinata was in the image of the American flag. As they hit it with the club , machine guns poured out. The drug man who was hitting it cried out Si! as all smiled. Of all the Political cartoons out there, you as editor made it your decision that this statement was what you want in your paper. It is also my decision and right to disagree and voice my opinion. Yes it may be our fault that the borders are in bad shape. That is because our land of Laws has forgotten that illegal means Illegal. But what I won't quietly allow is for anyone to disrespect our flag. Not you Nor even Obama who reminds every communist dictator that we are bad people. Our Flag has been defended throughout the History of our great Republic. Men and Women defend it with blood and their lives as you mock it. It took me a while to get riled up enough to write this letter since I have been holding back . Not any longer.

One of the greatest disappointments expressed by former President George W. Bush was his inability to provide amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens.

Disappointment is widespread over unkept promises of aid. The country hasn't yet recovered from last year's food riots and four tropical storms that killed nearly 800 people and caused $1 billion in damage.
