The price of gas in Southwest Michigan fell below $3.68 per gallon on Wednesday morning, according to www.gasbuddy.com . That is no coincidence as motorists keep driving less meaning oil which is refined into gas is sitting in many refinery tanks around the nation.

Police arrested a 43-year-old St. Joseph County man Sunday who they say doused himself, his 20-year-old son, and the floor of their home with lighter fluid and threatened to ignite it all.

According to a news release from the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department, homeowners on the 27000 Block of Hillside Court discovered someone had scratched profane words in the paint on the side of their motor home, which was parked in their driveway.

Gas stations in Sturgis are still slashing prices

Four stations in Sturgis - the two Admirals on U.S. 12 and the Murphy USA and Speedway stations, both of which are on South Centerville Road - are at $3.48, the lowest price in the state, according to www.gasbuddy.com . All the other stations in Southwest Michigan are above $3.70, though.
