Former student arrested after reported school-shooting threat in Stratford
Cactus Police and Texas Rangers arrested a 17-year-old former Stratford High School student on a terroristic threat charge Friday afternoon after students reported that he threatened to "shoot up the school," Department of Public Safety Trooper Gabriel Medrano said.

Some regional roads remain closed
The Texas Department of Transportation has opened U.S. Highway 287 northbound from Stratford and U.S. Highway 385 northbound from Dalhart to all traffic.
