Just as a recent television commercial is warning, local law enforcement officers likely "will see you before you see them" when it comes to spotting impaired drivers for the remainder of the holiday season.

While most American high schools are missing the digital news revolution, Providence High and other N.C. schools are leading the way, a journalism professor said Thursday.

Voters across the Tri-County will go to the polls today to choose mayors and town board members.
