It was earlier this month when a national story eluded that the most infamous feud in American folklore, the battle between the Hatfields and McCoys, could be partly explained by a rare, inherited disease that led to hair-trigger tempers and violent outbursts.

A local woman allegedly kicked the back window out of a Sheriff's cruiser in an attempted escape on May 5. According to the criminal complaint, Logan County Sheriff Deputies J.N. Sheppard and M.B. The city of Logan is moving closer to going green with its new wastewater collection system.

"We achieved a great deal during this session, but there's much more work to do." That was the assessment from Boone County State Senator Ron Stollings.

The community of Stollings is located in a remote area of Logan County in the southern West Virginia coalfields, one of the most rugged areas in the state.
