An energetic, much-needed Pacific storm blew across the north state Friday night and Saturday, sweeping dry low-lands with rain and lashing the Sierra and northern mountains with heavy, blowing snow.

In early December, four fishers were released to land owned by Sierra Pacific Industries in Stirling City.
