Seasonal-flu shots stalled in York County, around the country

Got mine in mid September at Walgreen's after seeing a commercial on TV That they were giving them. Had no idea there was going to be a shortage, just wanted it out of the way before I got on an airplane with all those germ-ridden people in closed quarters.

Can't hesitate these days...

Have been involved with flu shot ordering & administration for over 30 years. There has never been a 4-5 year period where there has not been a problem with seasonal flu shots....either not enough shots were made, the shots were not a strong enough formulation, the shots did not arrive in a timely fashion, etc. Flu shot manufacturers have told me that this vaccine just does not make them any money. It is never a surprise that the U.S. runs out of seasonal flu vaccine. And to have enough H1N1 vaccine? You've got to be kidding. As great as our country is, we've never been able to manage assuring adequate flu shots for our country. Very sad to think what could happen with biological warfare here.

Once again we are faced with a situation where everyone will say, " That's not right. Why doesn't somebody do something about it"? Well, folks, the only "somebody" who can do anything about it is the government. As much as I hate being on this slippery slope downwards toward a more socialist form of government(government control of most everything), it's times like this that I wonder just what the hell is the right way to go.
