It's the thing legends are made of. Early morning Christmas Eve a mystery gift was placed on the lawn of Sterling College.

Warden J. K. Codding, of the state penitentiary, on Christmas day went through the penitentiary, met with every prisoner, shook his hand and wished him a "Merry Christmas." It all depends upon the prisoner whether or not he appreciates it or whether it appeals to him in any way.
