Wilton Wisby, 31, of DeRidder, was arrested January 20th. Wisby is charged with possession of schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Highway 171 during which the items were found in the vehicle he was operating.

On January 8, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a convenience store on Highway 12 in Starks in reference to a robbery.

In October 2010 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint alleging sometime between January and December 2002, John D. Savoy, now 25, Starks, had inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile female who was at the time 8-years-old. Three people were killed early Saturday morning when their vehicle went out of control and crashed into a tree near the Big Woods community.
