Deputies charge 2 for area burglary spree

Two Powell County men have been charged in a string of home burglaries in which thousands of dollars of property had stolen in the last three weeks, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Berl Perdue said deputies arrested Harold J. Lewis, 26, of Stanton, and Zachary Roman, 21, of Clay City, late last night after receiving a breakthrough in the case.
