The absence of visible house numbers on some homes is becoming a problem for rescue personnel in Henry County, and it could lead to the loss of property or even the loss of life, county officials said.

A historical highway marker commemorating Henry County's first courthouse has been approved by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, according to a news release.

Under the proposal, Stanley would consolidate its Stanleytown office with its High Point office and showroom in a new location at 200 N. Hamilton and North Court in High Point, Prillaman said.
