Just over two-thirds of Stanley voters turned out to elect City Councilman Herb Mumford as their new mayor over challenger Charlie Briggs and to give votes of confidence to Laurii Gadwa and Lem Sentz, who were unopposed for city council seats.
Charlie Briggs, 49, has lived in the Stanley area 19 years. Rock climbing was the initial draw.
