Voters in a central Kentucky town have voted to stay dry. A measure that would have allowed alcohol sales in Stanford went down to defeat Tuesday, 499 votes against and 344 votes in favor.

The city of Stanford is voting Tuesday on whether to become the first city in Lincoln County to allow alcohol sales.

Jo Ann Morrow Davis, age 71 of Somerset, passed away on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
