The Cumberland County Sheriff's Department says part of Route 35 in Standish is closed due to an accident involving a logging truck.

A Standish man was killed in a crash in Standish Wednesday afternoon. Investigators said it appears a Ford Van driven by Robert Simocko, of Standish, was headed east on River Road when it crossed the center line hitting a Chrysler PT Cruiser being driven by David Warren.

Route 35 in standish was closed for much of the afternoon after a serious accident logging truck.

Police are at the scene of a serious crash in Standish. A logging truck traveling on route 35 rolled over on top of a pickup truck Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters made quick work of a fire at Century Tire on the Roosevelt Trail. Around 10:30 Monday night the call came in that Century Tire on Route 302 had caught fire.

A crash closed a road in Standish late Wednesday evening. Police closed Route 25 from Dingley Spring Road in Gorham to Standish Corner in Standish shortly after 10:30 p.m. It was not known how long the road would remain closed.
