Two small earthquakes rattled parts of Southern California late Sunday and early Monday, the most recent a magnitude 3.6 quake southeast of Bakersfield just before 4 a.m. The first quake was 11 miles east-southeast of Anza and 19 miles south-southwest of Palm Desert, according to the U.S. Geological Survey .

This isn't the first time the lack of water in rural areas of the county has played a role in a devastating house fire.

Firefighters attack a blaze that destroyed a Stallion Springs home on Friday, March 30.

About 25 Kern County firefighters were called to the two story home on Sasia Rd.
