Voters who rejected a budget proposal with a 5.66-percent tax-levy increase may get a 4.8-percent hike under a contingency plan.
Only one North Country school saw its budget defeated Tuesday: St. Regis Falls. The proposed 2009-10 budget of $7,590,163 went down by a vote of 187 against 88 in favor.
