Well since you didn't "leave it be" by starting the comments rolling, why should others?

Perhaps if you followed the news... this is an old story, the sentencing just happened.

Oldmanemil is right, only half the story here.
Should a common citizen have been convicted of this, assault charges would have applied and he would be in the workhouse for a period, fined and have his rights to purcahse a firearm revolked. Not so for the Police, they can make illegal turns on the highway that kill people, seldom obey traffic laws (speeding, signal turns/lane changes, text while driving, run stopsigns and stoplights) but get away with it because they are Police.

Well sure you want your say but the rest should hold back...... No! As you can see this cop got off with a slap on the wrist. Kicks the crap out of a person because he was drunk and out of control. Then lied his azs off in court. And in a year it's off his record. What a sweet deal. I'm guessing his community service will be washing cop cars at the station. Or at least he will say that's what he did. What a joke!

The guy (Cop) got away with a beat down! This is old news we knew was coming. He was cleared by a jury of his peers which are you and me and your neighbors. It doesn't mean he and his buddies didn't lie cause they are really good at it! I'm looking into the future and I see the year long investigation clearing him of all wrong doing and 50 hrs of community service served on his ass watching tv! What a bunch of crap! Typical!

A cop is your neighbor, the man or woman that gives you the bird when you cut them off in traffic, the drunk in the bar, ect. Everyone is human so it is not about hating cops. It is about hating individuals who break the law, abuse their authority because they have a badge. You make it seem like we should all just bend over and take one up the a$$ for a guy with a badge.

On that note, this guy happens to be a cop, so what? It is no different than you or me getting into a fight. Now if he used his badge or uses his badge to manipulate the system.... let the bashing begin.

Yep, and you have people like Sarah D willing to take one up the a$$ if a cop says so.

How was he a brave St. Paul police officer? The cop was off duty and was a civilian. He was drinking like a civilian. He did not try to arrest anyone or got into a scrap because he was on duty? He acted like a drunk idiot. Like I said before, take away the fact that he is a cop and this is just another bar room fight. To me, anyone fighting in bars is an idiot.

Against who? Like I said before, the cop was off duty... the victim can sue of course but him being an officer has nothing to do with this case. I can see if the off duty cop was trying to make an arrest but all he did was act a fool and beat up a guy because he was drunk. No different then a drunk college kid breaking someones nose and the guy with the broken sues for damanges.

Your jokes are not funny.

Daily Horoscope for December 12

Scorpio

Someone has a lot to say for themselves today, and much of it revolves around their possessions and spending habits. For instance, they might regale you with details of everything they've bought recently, even if you couldn't care less. Try not to do this yourself or you'll give the impression of being materialistic or possibly even mercenary.
