The Brown County commissioners approved Tuesday a request to place four historical markers noting aspects of Brown County's involvement in the U.S.-Dakota Conflict of 1862.

RRC took the meet on the girls' side. Alison Kircher of RRC shot a 49. Springfield's Callie Wersal shot a 53 while Anna Pommier, the medalist, had a score of 47.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn with burial at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Cole Milbrath of Springfield and the Sleepy Eye and Cedar Mountain chapters placed high at the 83rd Minnesota Future Farmers of America Convention at the University of Minnesota.
