SPRINGFIELD: Still not known how California decision will affect civil unions proposal
“I hope one day we'll reach a broader consensus here in Illinois, but that day is not here yet.”
A state representative said Thursday he hopes the California Supreme Court decision on gay marriage "sets a tone" that will bolster support for his proposal to legalize civil unions in Illinois. via Journal Star
