Tough choice made with the long-term view in mind
The Issue: The Wilson School Board decides to close two popular, well-performing elementary schools against the wishes of some parents and students.
Parents' emotions mixed about Wilson closures
Laura Axt and her family moved to Berks County from New Jersey a few years ago. She heard Wilson schools were the best, so her family moved to Lincoln Park where the elementary school is only blocks away.

The Reading Hospital Weight Management Center at Spring Ridge has a free support group that meets the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Thun/Janssen Auditorium at the hospital's West Reading campus.
