Soo they built or rearranged the brand new school to house 338 kids, only the parents have voiced their opinions of not moving their kids from the schools they are at now, Bravo for the parents..now I read that they will not have "gifted" teachers at each school, so what the superintendent is saying either play by my rules or your going to get screwed, just like Hernando Cty to pull something like this, so where are our wonderful "board members"? Sometimes its better to leave things along, rather than disrupt the whole applecart.
I have a bad taste in my mouth for the superintendent anyway, he wonders who the hell he is...me big cheese, me deserve BIG raise.....BS to that, if he doesn't like it, leave and don't let the door hit you as you leave.

Now their going to have open auditions to draw more students, now everyone is going to run and have their kid tested, and of course, the socieconomic kids (latino/black/poor) only have to have IQ of 120 because they are disadvantaged.
What a waste of time and energy for the taxpayers of Hernando County. Spend, spend, spend.

Most parents in S H like to think their kids are very WoW......... yet they don't want the kids to
rely on them........ drop for 'gifted' schools is due to rather lazy parents..........
thats as good a theory as any other .........WoW

I really don't think that there are really that many "gifted" in the whole of Hernando Cty. just look at the crime stats, most are dropouts/drug users/no jobs. So in another 7-10 yrs when all these"gifted" children are going out into the world with little or no jobs here in this town, if they stay they to no matter how "gifted" will be among the homeless/jobless/welfare sucking the blood out of the system. I'm saying "some" not all......just a thought.
