WOODSTOCK – McHenry County Board Chairwoman Tina Hill will not pursue a vote tonight to replace a member of the Public Health and Human Services Committee.

SPRING GROVE – The possible murder of man and his two children in the early 1850s will be explored as part of a Look at Local History month event.

SPRING GROVE – A Spring Grove woman died Friday in an “unfortunate accident,” according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

The Village Board accepted a donation, pending the completion of the paperwork, of a long and skinny parcel of land that borders Main Street and the Nippersink Creek at its meeting Tuesday evening, Village President Mark Eisenberg said.

Ten local churches put together a food drive as part of Christ Together, an organization founded in Lake County in 2000 as a way to combine forces for the greater good.
