Tourism director to honor northeastern Nevada poet with heritage award
Cowboy poet Waddie Mitchell, of Spring Creek, Nev., will be honored with the 2012 Nevada Heritage Award from the Nevada Arts Council during the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
