Jimmy Stevenson, a 20-year veteran of the Spring Brook Fire Department, is at home recovering after he was hit by a car while directing traffic Tuesday night.

Officer directing traffic on Route 400 struck by car
A Spring Brook fire police officer was struck and injured by a car Tuesday night while directing traffic away from another accident on the southbound Aurora Expressway near Jamison Road in Elma, company fire officials said.
Firefighter Struck, Injured Responding to Accident on 400
A firefighter has been struck while responding to an accident on Route 400 southbound, and rushed to Erie County Medical Center.
