Van Wert County looks to property tax to balance budget

After tightening the county's belt as much as they can, and with the sales tax maxed out, Van Wert County commissioners are turning to property tax to fill a budget hole for next year.

Let's see, Just how many short years ago was it our commissioners spent how many hundreds of thousands of DOLLARS on their office building to totally rebuild the old downtown space???????? And now they want us to subsidize their shortcoming??????
