Washoe County authorities have identified two people killed in a weekend house fire that's being investigated as a homicide.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office confirmed with the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office that formal identifications and next of kin notifications have been completed on the deceased male and female from Sunday's residential fire.

Authorities say the bodies of two adults have been found at the scene of a house fire, and their suspicious deaths are under investigation.

Washoe County Sheriff's Sgt. Doug Brady says the bodies were recovered Saturday evening after firefighters responded to the blaze in Spanish Springs.
