Beginning May 1st, Mellow Mushroom will feature a different craft brewery each month at its downtown Denver and Southglenn locations.

When I was growing up near the Tech Center, the place was something close to a culinary wasteland -- there were few dining destinations worth seeking out, and most restaurant real estate was devoted to national chains.

It was a busy year for new restaurants in Denver, but it was a busy year for closings, too.
