John Rivers, president of South Oroville African-American Historical Society, will be the guest at 11 a.m. Tuesday on the "Our Town" radio program on KRBS-LP, 107.1 FM, 95.9 FM, and on the Internet at www.radiobirdstreet.org Rivers will present information from research and study of this unique neighborhood.

A fire in Stump's Field in South Oroville consumed more than an acre of grass and vegetation Monday afternoon in what El Medio Fire Chief Rusty Ohlhausen said was the eighth fire in the field this year.
